Sister Corita Kent was a prominent artist in the mid 1900s, creating many different pieces with many different innovative styles. She created many serigraphs that had many meanings behind them, about war, peace, social injustice, racism, etc. She was especially prominent in the 60's, and her work continues to resonate with people today.
