About Me

Hello, my name is David Adadjo and I am an upcoming aspiring graphic designer who currently attends Russell Sage College in upstate NY. I am a junior, and I have learned a lot of the basics of graphic design while also beginning to delve deeper into it all. I am the oldest of three siblings, and I grew up and still live in the capital region of upstate NY. I am an athlete who competes in both soccer and track & field at the DIII collegiate level, as well as enjoying basketball, volleyball, and a few other sports leisurely. I love the outdoors and hiking in nature, but I also stay inside and play games with friends, or when I am bored, spending a little too much time on YouTube. I also love to draw, which is what initially inspired me to pursue a career in arts.

I am a Christian as well, trying to follow God’s word and Jesus’ example every day to the best of my ability. I also grew up in a biracial, bicultural household, with my father being from a small West African country called Togo, and my mother, who is caucasian, being from Massachusetts. I have gone to visit my father’s parents and some family over in Togo a few times in my lifetime, and most recently went in the summer of 2023, where I went on my own. Growing up in a majority-white neighborhood and school, while having a white parent, I was not very connected to my father’s culture, or even black culture as a whole. But going to Togo opened my eyes to see where he came from and exposed me to their culture and identity, as well as the poverty and setbacks. Being Togolese is a very important part of who I am, and I’m glad that I’ve been able to go as an adult as it has broadly expanded my perspective on life.
